Challenge

December 2020: despite hoping to leave social distancing behind, Brits are heading for another lockdown. Online quizzes aren’t what they used to be, the nights are drawing in earlier and it’s starting to get chilly. Brits are feeling blue and they’re in desperate need of new ways to connect and spend quality time ‘off screen’. So we asked people what kind of parties they loved hosting. And, weirdly, we Brits said we loved a bit of murder - murder mystery parties were the top answer.

Idea

Introducing “A Mystery In The Life Artois”, the world’s most sophisticated murder mystery set, designed to elevate social gatherings at home. Brought to life through a collaboration with Amazon and award-winning game designers, the set came complete with Stella Artois bottles, limited edition chalices, and a curated soundtrack pressed on a Stella Artois-coloured vinyl. Guests could even use Alexa to guide them through their adventure and reveal clues to solve the mystery. The captivating story gave Brits a chance to escape their lockdown routine, and spend the evening in the Life Artois, without leaving the comfort of their home.

 

Results

The immersive experience turned 84,000 Brits into glamorous characters and transported them far from their wintry homes for a night of intrigue and danger in a billionaire’s chateau. A Mystery In The Life Artois helped them reconnect with their household through beer, music, and entertainment, all while immersed in the Stella Artois brand world.
