Challenge
Like all sports, horse racing was off the cards during the pandemic. That’s until a virtual Kentucky Derby came in to fill the void, leading to a huge buzz around virtual horse racing as a form of entertainment. Now was our time to gallop into this emerging trend and have some fun with it.
Idea
We jumped feet first into the stirrups of the metaverse, teaming our beloved Stella Artois up with the tech-fuelled horseheads at Zed Run, the leaders in metaverse horse racing. We designed an exclusive set of playable horse skins and racetracks, which were purchasable as NFTs by Zed Run users. It was a bold leap into an exciting new space for one of our oldest brands.
Results
This extension of the brand’s “Life Artois” platform promised to bridge the gap between classic brand advertisement and entertainment digital experiences. It proved to be a huge hit and one of our most successful endeavours.
